Game Boy micro - Charging Lights (START and SELECT Buttons) Won't Display

AC Adapter not attached:
If the blue charge lights turn on when powering on the system, then blink and turn off after a few seconds, this is normal.

AC Adapter attatched:
If the blue-colored charge lights on your Game Boy micro are no longer coming on when the A/C Adapter is connected to your system, please use the following troubleshooting steps.

    Troubleshooting Steps:

    1. Make Sure the Game Boy micro Isn't Already Fully Charged
If the battery is already fully charged, the lights will not display when the system is plugged into the AC Adapter. Play a game without using the AC Adapter for at least 10-15 minutes, then plug the AC Adapter in, to see if the lights come on. If they do come on, the battery was fully charged. If the light still does not come on, see Step 2.
    2. Make Sure the Outlet You Are Using Works
Plugging another electrical device into the outlet is a good way to check if the outlet works, or that the outlet you are using is not controlled by a nearby light switch. You may also want to try a different outlet.
    3. Try a Different Licensed AC Adapter
If the charging light doesn't display, try a different AC Adapter, if possible, to determine if perhaps the problem is with the adapter.

      • If a different AC Adapter works, you will need to get a replacement AC Adapter from our Online Store, or by calling our Consumer Service Department at 1-800-255-3700.
      • If a different AC Adapter doesn't work, or if a replacement AC Adapter is not available and the lights will not display, your system will need to be repaired. Please click here to find out what options are available for repair or replacement of your product.

Note: Please be sure to include both the Game Boy micro and the AC Adapter with any repair.
