Top teams from the online Splatoon™ 3 Championship 2023 Qualifier tournament will take the stage and face off to see who splats supreme.
Mini-Bracket Round (begins 12:30 p.m. PT)
Each team will play two matches in a mini bracket to determine the seeding for the rest of the tournament.
- Match 1: Starburst vs Duck Gang
- Match 2: Crush Soda vs Jackpot
- Match 3: Loser of Match 1 vs Loser of Match 2
- Match 4: Winner of Match 1 vs Winner of Match 2
Ranking:
- 1: Winner of Match 4
- 2: Loser of Match 4
- 3: Winner of Match 3
- 4: Loser of Match 3
Livestream & Semi-Final Matchup Round with Finals Round to follow (begins around 2 p.m. PT)
In the Semi-Final Matchup round, teams will go squid-to-squid in a best-of-five, single-elimination bracket. For the Finals round, the final two teams will play in a best-of-seven match.
For each game played, the winning team from the previous game will pick the mode and the losing team will pick the stage from a predetermined list.
Tournament Modes:
The tournament will feature Turf War for the Mini Bracket round, and the competitive modes from Anarchy Battles for the Semi-Final and Final Rounds.
Turf War:
Beloved by squiddos everywhere, Turf War pits two teams in a battle to cover the most ground with their ink color.
Anarchy Battles Modes:
Tower Control
Ride the tower to the enemy’s base. Once a player has taken control of a tower, it will move automatically. If neither team reaches the goal by the end of the game, the team with the shortest distance to the goal wins.
Splat Zones
Control a patch of turf in the center of the of the stage for 100 counts. Once a team completely covers the zone with their ink color, that team’s timer will begin to decrease. Whichever team has least amount of time left on their time at the end of the match wins.
Rainmaker
Carry the rainmaker to each pedestal in the enemy’s base! If neither team reaches the goal, the team with the shortest distance to the goal wins.
Clam Blitz
First team to score 100 points wins. Pick up clams scattered around the stage and toss them into the enemy basket. A Power Clam is needed to break the basket’s barrier. 1 clam = 3 points. Power Clam = 20 points.
