Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Qualifier at Nintendo Live

It’s time to leave the competition in the rear view and set your sights on the stage! The top eight players will boost with the best of them on the big stage in the Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 tournament the same day.

Max 192 competitors. Registration is now closed. Limited standby line for in-person attendees without a Warp Pipe Pass to compete may be available.

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Qualifier at Nintendo Live tournament will consist of four initial phases of 48 players, for a total of up to 192 players.

In each phase, the 48 players will be divided into groups of 12 who will compete head-to-head over two rounds using the following rules:

  • Mode150cc Race
  • TeamsNo Teams
  • ItemsNormal Items
  • VehiclesAll Vehicles
  • Smart SteeringNo
  • CoursesPlayers can vote on any course and the game will randomly determine a course based on player votes.
  • Race Count4 Races
Round 1 of 2

Players in each group will play four races. The top 3 players according to the final leaderboard from each of the four groups will then advance to Round 2.

Round 2 of 2

Twelve players from each phase (3 from each group) have now made their way into the 2nd Round! From here, these racers will go bumper to bumper. The top 2 players will advance to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Tournament at 3 p.m. PT.
