Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Qualifier at Nintendo Live

It’s time to leave the competition in the rear view and set your sights on the stage! The top eight players will boost with the best of them on the big stage in the Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 tournament the same day.
Max 192 competitors. Registration is now closed. Limited standby line for in-person attendees without a Warp Pipe Pass to compete may be available.
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Qualifier at Nintendo Live tournament will consist of four initial phases of 48 players, for a total of up to 192 players.
In each phase, the 48 players will be divided into groups of 12 who will compete head-to-head over two rounds using the following rules:
- Mode: 150cc Race
- Teams: No Teams
- Items: Normal Items
- Vehicles: All Vehicles
- Smart Steering: No
- Courses: Players can vote on any course and the game will randomly determine a course based on player votes.
- Race Count: 4 Races
Round 1 of 2
Players in each group will play four races. The top 3 players according to the final leaderboard from each of the four groups will then advance to Round 2.
Round 2 of 2
Twelve players from each phase (3 from each group) have now made their way into the 2nd Round! From here, these racers will go bumper to bumper. The top 2 players will advance to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 Tournament at 3 p.m. PT.

Advance to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 tournament
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Open to legal residents of the US (including D.C.) who are at least 13 years old. Tournament begins at 11:30 AM PT and ends at 2:00 PM PT on 9/2/2023. Registration for the Tournament is required to participate and will be open starting at 7:00 PM PT on August 3, 2023 and will be available until 9:00 PM PT on September 1, 2023 or until 192 players have registered. To participate, players must also have a valid Nintendo Live 2023 ticket for Tournament day and sign provided participation agreement. Winners will be determined on or around 9/2/2023. There will be a total of 48 winners. 8 Grand Prize winners will each receive 1 trophy, 1 commemorative coin and 1 entry to compete in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Championship 2023 tournament (ARV $160 each). 40 First Prize winners will each receive 1 commemorative coin (ARV $10 each). Total prize ARV $1,680. Skill of participating players determines the winner(s).
