Metal Arms: Glitch in the System

System: Nintendo GameCube Release date: 05/12/2003

Introducing Glitch - the newest kid on the videogaming block. Unlike most characters he's not made of skin, scales, fur or flowers. Glitch is a gun-toting, wise-cracking robot, and is the only one who can save his people from a fate worse than scrap.

In Metal Arms: Glitch in the System, Glitch is discovered derelict and transformed into a lean mean fighting machine on a planet populated by robots, to battle against the evil General Corrosive and his army of Mil-bots. What follows is more than 40 missions of third-person action-adventure; with equal doses of intense gunplay, cranium-scratching puzzles and a wicked sense of humour.

Glitch can call on an arsenal of 17 deadly weapons with which to dispatch the mechanised militia: from the standard machine guns, sniper scopes and missiles to a clever device which he can use to seize control of enemy robots and use them to solve puzzles or turn the tables on their master. Our armour-plated hero can even commandeer a wide range of vehicles in his carnage-fuelled quest. And as if that wasn't enough, there are even seven split-screen multiplayer modes to complement the main single-player missions, including a delightful deathmatch.

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System combines gorgeous graphics, frenetic gameplay and wise-cracking humour, and gives equal exercise to your brain and trigger finger.
