Important Note!
- The Wii U does not support legacy controllers like the Nintendo GameCube controller.
- While all accessories released by Nintendo are compatible with the Wii U, it does not mean that they will work with all Wii or Wii U titles and applications. Please check the title's manual to see if a specific accessory can be used.
Answer:
- The Wii U is backward compatible with nearly all Wii accessories released by Nintendo. For accessories released by a licensee company, check with the company for information about compatibility.
- All Wii control inputs released by Nintendo will be compatible, including the Wii Remote, Nunchuk, Classic Controller and Wii Balance Board. Up to four Wii Remotes and/or Wii U Pro Controllers can work together with the Wii U, using either the sensor strip on the Wii U GamePad or the sensor bar connected to the system.
- Wii Speak is only compatible with Wii titles. It will not work with Wii U titles.
