What type of problem are you experiencing?
Wii Balance Board won't sync with Wii system (power light keeps blinking)
- The Wii Balance Board will only communicate with the Wii Console if a compatible game is being used. It must also be synced to each game individually. Before proceeding, make sure that the game you are playing displays the following icon on its packing:

- Check the battery life of the batteries in the Wii Balance Board. If the battery level is low, try a fresh set of batteries.
- Even if the battery level is strong, try the following:
Try these steps!
- Turn the Wii console power OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a few seconds.
After a few seconds have elapsed, plug the cord back into the wall
outlet.
- Turn the power of the Wii console ON. When you see the Health and
Safety screen, open the small flap on the front of the Wii
console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold the SYNC
Button down for 15 seconds. This will clear all the syncs on the Wii, allowing you to get a clean start to begin the process described below.
- After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at
least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:
- With the first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below the batteries.
- Press and release the small red button just below the batteries on
the Wii Remote; the blue lights on the front of the Wii Remote
will blink.
- Quickly press and release the red SYNC button on the inside of the
white flap on the front of the Wii console (picture).
- When the Player LED blinking stops and stays lit, the syncing is complete. The LED
that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through
4).
- Start the game from the Wii Menu, then sync the Wii Balance Board from the opening screen of the game.

Your movements are not being correctly detected
- Make sure that the Wii Balance Board is placed properly in front of the TV: The blue power light should be facing away from the TV. If the Wii Balance Board is facing the wrong way, your movements will be reversed.
- Check the battery life of the batteries in the Wii Balance Board. If the battery level is low, try a fresh set of batteries.
- Check to make sure nothing is pressing against the bottom of the Wii Balance Board. If you do find anything pressing against the bottom (such as carpet), try using the foot extensions.

Correct weight not detected:
- Are you using the Wii Balance Board on a plush carpet? If so, try using the foot extensions. After you have installed the extensions, re-weigh yourself and check for proper results (within a few pounds).
Check the battery life of the batteries in the Wii Balance Board. If the battery level is low, try a fresh set of batteries.
