Game Boy Player - Start-up Disc Troubleshooting
Before Troubleshooting:
- Make sure you are using only licensed accessories with your
system. Unlicensed products
are not fully compatible with Nintendo systems, and may not work
correctly.
Please use the troubleshooting below for all Start-up
Disc-related problems
- Does the Game Boy logo appear on the TV screen?
- Are you receiving an error message?
- If you are receiving the message: "Please turn the
power off. Choose the Change Game Pak option before changing
the Game Pak is turned on," this is caused by removing
or inserting a Game Boy game pak while the Game Boy Player
is on. Turn off the Nintendo GameCube, insert the game pak
completely, then turn the power back on. In the future, use
the "Switch Game
Pak" option from the Game
Boy Player Menu to prevent this message from appearing.
- If you are receiving the message: "The GAME BOY
PLAYER is not connected. Please turn the power off and connect
a GAME BOY PLAYER," make sure the Game Boy Player
is properly inserted
into the High Speed Port on the bottom of the Nintendo GameCube.
If the above steps do not help, your GameBoy Player may need to be replaced. For information on locating replacements for older products, please click here.
