| Important Note: |
| We highly recommend you review the following precautions before
you set up and operate your Nintendo system:
|
- If this is the first time you are using your Game Boy Advance
SP, make sure the internal battery is fully charged
before using. Please click here
for help charging the battery.
- Firmly insert a Game Pak into the Game Pak Slot on the underside
of the Game Boy Advance SP, so that the label side of the Game
Pak is facing away from the unit. Be sure the Game Pak
is fully inserted. You will know it is fully inserted
when you hear it click in place.

- Carefully lift up the screen into the open position.
- Turn on the power by pushing the Power Switch towards the screen.
Note: The LCD screen light will automatically
come on when the unit is first turned on. To turn the light off,
press the Screen Light Switch (the small button above the Control
Pad and A, B buttons).

- The screen will display the Game Boy logo, and then change to
the display for the game that you are playing. Be sure to read
the Game Pak instruction booklet for the game you are playing.
To get the best image on your Game Boy Advance SP:
- For best color under bright light conditions,
turn the screen light OFF to extend the battery life.
- For best color under low light conditions,
turn the screen light ON. (This will reduce battery life to
about ten hours of game play.)
- To remove the Game Pak after playing, first turn the power
OFF by sliding the Power Switch towards the front, then slide
the Game Pak out of the Game Pak Slot.

- When finished playing, fold the Game Boy Advance SP closed to
protect the display screen. Important Note: Please
make sure to turn the system off after playing, as the power does
not automatically turn off when the system is closed.
