Nintendo DSi & Nintendo DSi XL - Settings - System Update

This option allows you to download updates or additions to the Nintendo DSi Menu or built-in software applications. System updates may be required in order to play new Nintendo DSi games or continue to access the Nintendo DSi Network Service.

Important: In order to perform a system update, your Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL will need an internet connection. If you need assistance connecting your system online, click here.

How to perform a system update:

1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
2. Select the right arrow three times to go to page 4, then select "System Update."
3. Select "Yes," then "Next."
4. Select "I Agree," then "OK" to begin the update.

How to tell which Nintendo DSi Menu version you have:

1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
2. The version number will be displayed on the top screen in the lower right corner.
