Nintendo DSi & Nintendo DSi XL - Settings - Brightness

You can adjust the screen brightness of the Nintendo DSi through the system settings.

How to adjust the screen brightness:

  1. On the Nintendo DSi Menu, use the stylus to select the Settings ("wrench") icon.
  2. Select "Brightness Settings," then select +/- to adjust the brightness up or down.
  3. Select "OK" to confirm.

Notes about screen brightness:

  • You can also change the screen brightness during game play without going into the system settings (more info).
  • Changing the screen brightness will also change the brightness of the power indicator LED and the wireless indicator LED (more info).
  • Increasing the screen brightness will increase the power consumption (more info). As a result, the power indicator LED may change from blue to red when the screen is made brighter (more info). When this happens, note that the battery may run out and the system may lose power soon after the LED turns red.
