Lost in Blue

System: Nintendo DS Release date: 10/11/2005

A mysterious island; a disastrous accident; a fight for survival! Lost in Blue is a role playing game where you'll need to work hard just to stay alive. At the beginning of the game you hook up with a fellow survivor, a 17 year old girl; from here the two of you must work together to hunt for food, make tools and discover the many secrets of the island. Through a series of mini-game style events, even grabbing lunch is an adventure in Lost in Blue - you'll need to master the fishing rod or set traps to catch animals, and then cook the food to make sure it's edible. The DS touch screen plays an integral role as you search for sustenance - in conjunction with the stylus, you can shake coconut trees, hunt wildlife, try to start a fire, or even milk goats. Careful though - these goats kick... Share out the responsibilities between your main character and the other non player characters you'll meet as the adventure unfolds. Your actions and the actions of those around you can have important effects on later developments. There are a variety of game endings, depending on how you play the game, and once completed you can play through the game once again, this time as the girl character, for a markedly different gameplay experience. This paradise Lost is well worth hunting down.
