  • Get ready to enter the Pokémon World Tournament

    10th July 2012 - Nintendo has revealed new information about the Pokémon World Tournament gameplay mode that debuts in Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, launching for the Nintendo DS family of systems on 12th October 2012. The game can also be played in 2D on Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL. In Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2, players will return to the Unova Region and embark on a brand new adventure set two years after the events of the acclaimed Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version games.

    The new Pokémon World Tournament mode includes the following:

    Compete Against Classic Gym Leaders: Enter the Pokémon World Tournament, an exciting arena where players will be able to take on Gym Leaders and Champions from previous Pokémon video games. Fans of the series will be able to battle trainers such as Lance, Champion from the Johto Region and Volkner, Gym Leader from the Sinnoh Region.

    Battle Format: Players will enter the Pokémon World Tournament as a part of an elimination tournament. Featured battles include single battles, double battles, triple battles and rotational battles. Using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, players can also receive data that allows them to battle with special trainers such as the top players and their teams from the 2012 Pokémon Video Game World Championships.
