Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp is out now!

Lead Andy, Max, Sami, and other colorful Commanding Officers in two classic turn-based strategy games, now reimagined for the Nintendo Switch™ system.

Land, air, and naval units will be at your disposal as you march through the campaigns of both Advance Wars and Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. These games have been remade from the ground up—featuring redesigned characters and units, a 1v1 online mode* where you can challenge your friends, and handy options such being able to fast-forward through battle animations.

The keys to victory

Will you capture the enemy base or destroy all their units? How you win is entirely up to you! Some players like to focus on building units to overwhelm the enemy. Others play stealthily and try to deploy troops by the enemy base.

No matter what you choose, just remember that your Commanding Officer will be crucial to victory. Each has their own specialties and powerful abilities, such as the ability to repair units or boost the abilities of troops. You’ll also need to keep an eye on the terrain and weather as you’re moving your units around.

There are a few ways to test your skills in addition to the campaigns:

Versus Mode: Up to four players** can test their wits on dozens of maps via single system or local wireless mode. Each player can choose a Commanding Officer from either campaign and strategically use abilities to turn the tide.

War Room: Hone your skills against an AI controlled opponent and situations that are stacked against you.

Design Room: Create custom maps and share them online or through a local wireless connection.

Online Mode: Wondering who has the best strategy chops? Two friends can play against each other in an online 1v1 match to determine it once and for all! (Or until you play again.)
