Nintendo eShop invites you to scroll along its shelves as if you were window shopping in the high street - by simply sliding your stylus across the Touch Screen. A variety of themed icons are lined up in a row to display what's hot in the shop right now, from a group of games in a particular genre to a shelf dedicated only to Mario.
If you see something you like, just tap the icon to venture inside and discover what's on offer for your theme of choice. You may find exclusive video content to enjoy on your Nintendo 3DS or detailed information on both downloadable and retail software for your system.
The contents are updated on a regular basis so check back often to see what's new!
You can also find software via a scrolling bar of popular keywords or by entering your own on the on-screen keyboard. A number of Search Filters such as price are available, and you can sort your results by date or popularity. Then simply tap a title to find out more about it.
Depending on the title, you can watch 3D screenshots and videos or check user ratings. If you found what you're looking for, just tap PURCHASE SOFTWARE or DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE and you'll be playing before you know it!
The Add to Watch List feature lets you store the title in your Watch List for easy access later. If the title isn't available yet, adding it to your Watch List ensures you'll be notified via Nintendo eShop notifications when it's released.

Nintendo 3DS download software is a brand new kind of software that's only available through Nintendo eShop. You can find useful applications and fully-fledged games at various prices - some even for free!
Among the titles on offer you will also find the 3D Classics series, a selection of classic games fully remastered in 3D.
Remember the good old days? The Virtual Console platform on Nintendo eShop lets you relive classic gaming gems from the Game Boy and Game Boy Color systems (with additional systems to be added in the future).
Turn back the clock with titles like Super Mario Land - and if you're really looking to get nostalgic, you can even set Game Boy titles to display with old school green tint or within the original Game Boy screen frame and resolution!
This third platform covers downloadable games and applications originally created for the Nintendo DSi system, yet fully compatible with your Nintendo 3DS. Hundreds of titles are already available, from useful applications to exciting games from a huge variety of independent developers.
Note: if you already own a Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL system and have previously purchased Nintendo DSiWare, you can transfer most of your Nintendo DSiWare software to your Nintendo 3DS.
The price of Nintendo eShop software is conveniently displayed in actual currency. Before you can purchase software you'll need to add funds to your Nintendo eShop account, either by using a credit card or a Nintendo eShop Card.
Nintendo eShop Cards can be purchased at retail and come in three values: £15 / €15, £25 / €25 or £35 / €35. Each card contains a code you can enter in Nintendo eShop to add funds to your account.
Share your thoughts with other players! You can submit a review on any software you played for at least an hour on your Nintendo 3DS system*. You'll be asked five short questions, such as how you rate the software. By submitting your reviews you are helping other players to find suitable software and thus improving Nintendo eShop for everyone.
*You cannot submit reviews for Nintendo DS or Nintendo DSi card software. Additionally, there may be certain other software for which you cannot submit reviews.
Finding popular content is easier than ever on Nintendo eShop. You can quickly access software charts based on reviews, video charts based on popularity and more!
Check Recent Bestsellers for a list of the most popular software of the past two weeks or All Bestsellers for a list of the most popular software to date.
You can also look at Recent Reviews to see software that's been reviewed in the past twelve weeks or go to Recently Popular to watch the most-viewed videos of the past two weeks.
If you're a Club Nintendo member, you can access the option to link your Club Nintendo account to your Nintendo eShop account. By linking your Club Nintendo account, you will be eligible for added benefits. For example, you can fill out a survey about software you downloaded and earn additional Stars to redeem for exclusive Club Nintendo rewards in the Stars Catalogue!
