Eight courses have been added to the Mario Kart™ 8 Deluxe game. Starting today, you’ll be able to challenge the Rock Cup and Moon Cup. No rock (or moon rock) is left unturned in these Cups!

This newly added content makes up Wave 3 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass DLC*. If you want to know what else is currently available, please refer to the handy image. We’ll give you a second.

OK, are you back? Everything on that image is currently playable as part of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass. Three additional waves will be released by the end of 2023.

What is the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass DLC?

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass is your ticket to adding 48 more courses to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (which will double the course number when all the content is out). These courses are being released in six waves until the end of 2023 and each wave has eight courses. You can also race online** with them too!

Today sees the release of Wave 3.

How do I get the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass?

There are two ways to get access.

1) Folks who have an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership*** already have access to these waves of content as they are released—there is no additional cost on top of the membership price.

Members also get access to a selection of Nintendo 64™ and SEGA Genesis™ games, access to the Animal Crossing™: New Horizons - Happy Home Paradise DLC* and Splatoon™ 2: Octo Expansion*, and all the original benefits of a Nintendo Switch Online membership (online play, access to a library of classic Super NES™ and NES™ games, access to the Save Data Cloud, exclusive games, and more).

2) Non-members can access the courses as they are released by purchasing the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass on its own from Nintendo eShop. You can purchase the pass by using the link on the bottom of this article.
