Let these fuzzy friends help you in your adventures

When you dive into a game, sometimes it’s nice to have a familiar NPC (non-playable character) to chat with. While some NPCs may just give fun/ominous/sometimes-head-scratching dialogue, others can be very helpful.

Now, when that familiar face has whiskers, expressive eyes, and lets out the occasional “meow,” you got yourself a different kind of NPC—a non-playable cat!

The NPCs listed in the games below won’t just sit around being cute (though, they absolutely are). Whether you need help taking down enemies, finding items, or just want something to coo at, these kitty companions are ready to assist in your journey!

An ancient evil is about to reawaken, and you’ll need to befriend and fight alongside new and legendary heroes to stop it. Word around Somniel is that while out adventuring you can find and adopt certain animals (like cats) that drop ingredients for cooking (like fish).

Welcome to Splatsville, the adrenaline-fueled heart of the dusty Splatlands. Ink your way through a variety of modes, including competitive 4-vs-4 modes* or in solo Story Mode. Have questions? Stop by the Battle Lobby to rap with Judd (round, fuzzy fellow). He gives great advice—no kitten!

Set in Kamura Village, explore lush ecosystems and hunt fearsome monsters to become the ultimate hunter. But becoming the ultimate hunter is no easy feat. Luckily, the village Palicos are around to offer a helping paw, managing your room, cooking up some delicious Dango, and even joining the fight!

As an adorable, possessed lamb, start your own cult and venture out into diverse and mysterious regions. From Cats and Stags to Beetles and Crocodiles, you can build a loyal community of worshippers and spread your Word—not to mention help with some of the chores.

Enter a bizarre and unexplored world full of strange creatures, dangers, and surprises. Learn to exploit the lands to find your way back home. You may come across something called a Catcoon. Befriend these playful creatures by giving them toys or food. In exchange, they may cough up… “gifts.” Oh, and they hate monsters.

Take the role of Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess who inhabits the form of a legendary white wolf, Shiranui. Use magical abilities, attacks, and Celestial Brush techniques to restore the land of Nippon to its previous glory. By catching up with the Celestial Brush god of Catwalk, you may learn a different technique.

As a Spirit Scout, you'll wander the ever-changing island of Cozy Grove to find hidden secrets and help soothe the local ghosts. Befriend the island residents, gather pets (may we suggest cats?), and decorate to your heart’s content. Feed your fuzzy friends and you might occasionally get a crafting recipe.

Chicory, superstar artist and wielder of the Brush, is missing. You'll have to use your painting powers to explore different places, solve puzzles, help your friends, and color the world around you. Beans runs the Lost Kid Daycare, so if you find any lost kittens (including her own), she’ll thank you for sending them her way.

Erik and Mia’s treasure-hunting dreams become reality as they are whisked away to the magical and mysterious realm of Draconia. Joined by Purrsula (a flying cat-like creature) and Porcus (a flying pig-like creature), explore a legendary land full of riches just waiting to be discovered.
