Classic Castlevania games are resurrected on Nintendo's Virtual Console service

It’s a story that’s familiar to Castlevania fans: Every 100 years, a powerful evil rises from the dead…and only the Belmont family of vampire hunters can stand in its way.

The original Castlevania™ game was first released for the Nintendo Entertainment System™ in 1986, and has since grown into a critically-acclaimed franchise. With a new, animated Netflix series debuting on July 7, it’s a great time to check out the Castlevania games that inspired the show.

Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
In the third chapter of the Castlevania series that released on the original NES console, Trevor Belmont must take arms against the young but immortal Dracula. Use powers to transform into three different spirits, as well as an assortment of weapons to confront an army of horrors.
