What play modes are available?
Players can enjoy this game in TV, tabletop and handheld modes.
While in TV mode, you can use commercially available PC mice if you wish, instead of the usual controllers.
What kinds of computer mice can I use?
A regular USB mouse can be used.
*If you are using a wireless mouse, please use one that connects via a USB receiver. Bluetooth devices cannot be directly connected wirelessly to the Nintendo Switch console. *You will not be able to use a mouse that requires driver updates. *We cannot guarantee that all mice will function correctly.
How do I play using a mouse?
Insert your Nintendo Switch console into your Nintendo Switch dock, and connect your mouse to a USB port on the dock.
While your mouse is connected, the console will automatically switch to mouse control.
Can more than one person play?
The programming activities are designed for one, but you can create games for multiple players with Game Builder Garage.
Which type of Nintendo Switch can I play this title on? Does it work with the Nintendo Switch Lite?
Game Builder Garage can be played on both the Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch Lite.
However, when playing on a Nintendo Switch Lite console, a Joy-Con (sold separately) is required for certain features in Free Programming mode.

(* In Free Programming mode, a Joy-Con must be connected to enable SL/SR Button Nodons, Vibration Nodons, IR Motion Camera Nodons and IR-Light Nodons.)

What kind of programming languages can I learn with this game?
In Game Builder Garage, rather than an existing programming language, players use an original style of programming in which different "Nodons" are connected together.
The Interactive Lessons allow anyone to experience game programming, giving players a grounding in the general approach required.
Does this title follow school curricula?
Game Builder Garage does not attempt to follow any particular educational curricula. Instead, it gives players a taste of programming through unique game creation experiences whilst also being entertaining.
What is the target age range for this product?
Even players as young as first year primary students can enjoy making games with Game Builder Garage. There are, however, differences between individuals to take into consideration.
Approximately how long does each lesson take?
Each lesson takes approximately 40 to 90 minutes, although this is only a guideline range.
How many games can be saved?
A maximum of 64 games can be saved.
