Managing Your Information

When you’re signed into your Nintendo Account, you can review, update, or delete your information. You can also submit a request for a copy of your information, ask us to update certain information on your behalf, or ask us to permanently delete all the information we hold about you. Instructions on how to do these things are below. If you do not have a Nintendo Account, and you would like to submit a request, please contact us by telephone at 1-855-822-9548. Either way, we will provide a response within 45 days, if possible. If we need more time, we will notify you. Please note that you will need to verify your identity when making any of these requests. If we need additional information to verify your identity, we will contact you to request that information. If we are unable to process your request, we will explain why in our response.

Updating Your Information

  • If you would like to update your Nintendo Account information, you can do so through your account settings. You can access your account settings by signing into your Nintendo Account here. For more details on updating your account information, see our support article on How to Adjust Account Profile Settings. Also, if you would like to update certain details associated with a requested transaction, such as a shipping address, then please contact us here.

Requesting Your Information

  • If you have a Nintendo Account and you would like to obtain a digital copy of the categories and specific pieces of information we hold about you, please click here to sign into your Nintendo Account and complete the request form.

Deleting Your Information

  • Our support site has information on How to Delete a Nintendo Account. It will take 30 days from the date of the request to process an account deletion. Your Nintendo Account, and any purchases or content associated with your account, will be permanently deleted once your request is processed.

    You can also request permanent deletion of all the information we hold about you. Once deleted, your information, including your Nintendo Account, and any purchases or content associated with your account, will be permanently deleted (for example, you will no longer be able to play any of the digital content you’ve purchased). However, we may retain certain information to comply with law or take other actions permitted by law. If you have a Nintendo Account and you would like to make a deletion request, please click here to sign into your Nintendo Account and then complete the request form.

Authorized Agents

  • You may designate an agent to request, update, or delete your information, as described above. The agent can be a person or a registered third-party business entity. To begin the request process, the agent will need to contact us by telephone at 1-855-822-9548. Please note that you will need to verify your identity to process the request that was submitted on your behalf.

Appealing a Denial of Your Request

  • Depending on your place of residence, you may have the right to appeal the denial of a request submitted with us. If we were unable to process your request, and you would like to appeal the denial of your request, you may contact us to request that we re-evaluate the denied request. If you would like to submit an appeal with us, please contact us at dataprotectionofficer@noa.nintendo.com. We will respond to your appeal request within 45 days unless we need more time, in which case we will notify you.

Ad Settings

We personalize our marketing communications and the advertisements we show to make them more interesting and useful to you. To do this, we use data from your devices and other data you share with us, including information about your gameplay, purchases, site visits, and topics you often explore. The technologies we use and the choices we offer you are described in more detail below.

If you would like to opt-out from the collection of cookies and other data in our mobile apps, please follow the opt-out instructions in each mobile app’s settings.

Targeted Ads

  • When you use or interact with our services, including the Nintendo Account service, we collect certain information about your usage activities. Such usage information may include the content that you’ve played or purchased, or the Nintendo Account services or features that you utilized. We may process and share that usage information to provide you with targeted advertisements, so that content, products and services can be tailored to your preferences and the recommendations displayed to you are customized accordingly. This personalized content may be delivered to you by Nintendo or on behalf of Nintendo by its third-party partners and service providers.

Please note that if you opt-out of receiving targeted advertisements, you may still receive general advertisements, but they will not be tailored or customized based on your use and interaction with our services.

Promotional Emails

  • If you would like to opt-out of promotional e-mails, you can do so through your Nintendo Account settings. You can access your account settings by signing in at accounts.nintendo.com. For more details on how to adjust your email preferences, see our support article on how to manage promotional communications settings. You can also select “Unsubscribe” at the bottom of any promotional e-mail that you received from us.

Analytics

We collect information about your use of and interaction with our services, including the Nintendo Account service, to perform various analytics. The analytics information we collect includes play reports, crash and error reports, your survey responses and similar usage information. This analytics information is used to optimize or improve our existing services, develop new services, and provide you with enhanced functionality.
