Liquid Spilled in the System - Troubleshooting

    Liquid spilled in system:
    If liquid of any kind has been spilled in the Game Boy micro system, remove the battery cover and battery and allow the system to dry. If a significant amount of liquid touched the battery, it must be replaced. For information on ordering a replacement battery directly from Nintendo, please click here.

    If allowing the system to dry and/or replacing the battery did not solve your problem, your system will need to be repaired. Nintendo's warranty against manufacturer defects does not cover physical damage (such as liquid being spilled on the system). If your Game Boy micro needs repair or replacement due to physical damage, and is within the warranty period, please call our Consumer Service department at 1-800-255-3700 to discuss available repair options.
