You can use the following search to find out whether your Nintendo hardware system is still under warranty. You will need to locate the serial number on the back of your system. The serial number begins with one or two letters (i.e. LU, NU, NS, GC, N, AU, CG, MG, G, UC, XU, MC, UG) followed by a sequence of numbers. If your serial number includes a last number that is slightly shaded, please be sure to include this number as well. (Please note, serial numbers are not the same as the model number, which includes three letters, followed by a dash and numbers.)

Nintendo systems carry a twelve month warranty. Games and accessories sold separately carry a three month warranty. The warranty covers any manufacturing or workmanship defects and these will be repaired at no charge.

Please note: Nintendo's warranty does not cover physical damage (such as a cracked screen on a handheld unit, spilled liquid, or scratched game discs). If your Nintendo product needs repair or replacement due to physical damage, and is within the warranty period, please call our Consumer Service department at 1-800-255-3700 to discuss available repair options.

Important note:
All hardware system warranties are verified through Nintendo's serial number tracking system at the time we receive the repair. If your system is NOT covered under warranty, Nintendo will not repair it without payment. If you believe that your system might not be covered under warranty, we recommend including payment so your repair isn't delayed unnecessarily.
