UPDATE 10-Jul-15

To those who have been experiencing issues with specific Technicolor ADSL modems provided with certain Telstra broadband plans, we thank you for your patience. We are working towards a resolution but regret to advise that the issue has not yet been resolved and a solution is still under investigation.

If you are experiencing difficulties with online multiplay mode in some Wii U games, we first suggest contacting your Internet Service Provider for assistance.

A more immediate solution could be your choice of router. Our testing has found that in using Telstra broadband Internet service, the on-line multiplayer mode in Wii U is functional with a range of routers, including the small selection of widely available options listed below:

D-Link DSL-2750B
Netgear DGN2200
TP Link TD-W9980
Netgear D7000 Nighthawk

Compatibility of Wii U online multiplay and ADSL/national broadband network (nbn) with router firmware confirmed with in-house testing as of 10/7/2015.
Users should consider their online requirements when selecting a replacement router. Nintendo cannot make any specific recommendations. Users should contact the relevant manufacturer for further information.
