Unable to Upload Screenshots and Videos from Nintendo Switch 2 to the Nintendo Switch App
Follow these steps if you cannot upload screenshots or videos to the Nintendo Switch App. You may receive one of the following messages:
"Can't upload screenshots or video from this software."
"Can't upload selected screenshots or videos."
Note: Some software may not allow uploading screenshots and videos, or may restrict captures from certain scenes in the game, such as those considered spoilers.
Before you start
The same Nintendo Account must be linked to your Nintendo Switch 2 system and signed into the Nintendo Switch App.
Your Nintendo Switch 2 system must be connected to the internet to upload screenshots to the Nintendo Switch App.
If you are not connected currently, the files will be added to your pending uploads and will be uploaded once connected to the internet again.
Visit Nintendo's Network Status page and check for any posted service maintenance or outages.
Please wait until the outage or maintenance has ended and check whether the issue is resolved before following this troubleshooting.
Possible solutions
Restart the console.
Perform an internet connection test to confirm your console can connect online.
If parental controls are set up and you have selected a video to upload, the parental controls PIN must be entered.
