Unable to Access New Features/Content After Purchasing a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Upgrade Pack

Follow these steps if you upgraded to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of a game, but the upgrades do not appear in-game.

Note:

When an upgrade pack is installed for the software, its icon on the HOME Menu will be updated to include "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition".

What to do

  • Ensure that the console has been updated to the latest system menu version.

  • Check for any available software updates for the game. An update to the Nintendo Switch version of the software, in addition to the upgrade pack, is required to access the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of the game.

  • If necessary, redownload the upgrade pack.

  • Restart the Nintendo Switch 2 console. To restart the console, hold the POWER Button for three seconds, then select Power Options, followed by Restart.

  • Start the game and check whether the title screen includes "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition".
