Nintendo Switch 2 HOME Menu Overview

The HOME Menu allows you to launch software and configure system settings. It can be opened at any time by pressing the HOME Button on the console.

Upper left corner of the screen

  • My Page: Displays icons to manage user information and friend lists.

Bottom of the screen

  • Nintendo Switch Online: Access Nintendo Switch Online services, from getting the latest information to special offers and more.

  • GameChat: GameChat is a Nintendo Switch 2 feature that allows users to voice chat and video chat with each other, as well as share their screen and play games together.

  • News: Get the latest updates on game releases and, Nintendo events, announcements, learn about information on how to use various system features, and more.

  • Nintendo eShop: Connect to the Internet to purchase downloadable software and content.

  • Album: Easily take and save screenshots using the Capture button on the left Joy-Con. Then view, add text, and share from your Album.

  • GameShare: GameShare is a feature that allows Nintendo Switch 2 users to share compatible software and play together with users on another Nintendo Switch 2 system or Nintendo Switch system. A Nintendo Switch 2 system and software which supports GameShare are required to host a GameShare session.

  • Controllers: Add new controllers or change the order of paired controllers.

  • Virtual Game Card: Digitally load and eject your virtual game cards (digital games and DLC you purchase through Nintendo eShop) like you would a physical game through the Virtual Game Card Menu.

  • System Settings: Configure a variety of settings, such as Internet connection and Parental Controls.

  • Sleep Mode: Set the console to Sleep Mode.
