Message: "You cannot play this software"

Helpful information when you have Parental Controls set on your console and receive the following message when trying to start software:

• On Nintendo Switch 2: "You cannot play this software".

• On Nintendo Switch: "You cannot play this software".

Information

This message indicates that the software you are trying to play is restricted by Parental Controls based on its age rating. This also applies when you try to join another player's GameShare session if the game they are playing would be restricted on your console.

If you would like to temporarily bypass the restrictions to start the software, enter the Parental Controls PIN.
