Joy-Con 2 Controller Buttons are Not Responding While Attached to Nintendo Switch 2 Console
Steps for when the buttons on the Joy-Con 2 controller(s) are unresponsive or don't work as expected while they are attached to the Nintendo Switch 2 console.

The button test feature on the console is not available for the HOME Button, Capture Button, C Button, POWER Button, volume buttons, and SYNC buttons.
What to do
Power off the console and clean the area around any sticky or stuck buttons using a soft, dry toothbrush.
Power on the console and check that it has the latest system update.
“The Connected Controller's Button Mapping Changed” message appears when powered on
This indicates the button mapping on your controller was changed.
Select Reset the Button Mapping on the message in order to complete this troubleshooting.

Continue troubleshooting the affected button(s).
Press the HOME Button or C Button while navigating the menus or within a game.
If the Joy-Con 2 is recognized, but the HOME or C Button does not respond correctly, the right Joy-Con 2 controller will need to be returned for assessment. Do not include the console.

Press the Capture Button while in the HOME Menu.

From the HOME Menu select System Settings, then scroll down the menu on the left-hand side and select Controllers & Accessories.
Select Test Input Devices, then Test Controller Buttons.
Press the button or control stick on the controller you wish to test.
In addition to allowing for analog input, the control sticks can also function as buttons for compatible software.
An icon for the button or control stick that was pressed will be displayed on the screen.
Note that the HOME Button, Capture Button, C Button, POWER Button, volume buttons, and SYNC Button aren't included in this test and will not appear in the list of icons.
Press and hold down any button or control stick to end the test.
Situation not resolved
If the Joy-Con 2 is recognized as being attached to the console, but the button test fails, the problematic Joy-Con 2 controller will need to returned for assessment. Do not include the console.
