How to Upload Screenshots and Videos from Nintendo Switch 2 to the Nintendo Switch App

Follow these steps to upload screenshots and videos you've captured on Nintendo Switch 2 to the Nintendo Switch App for smart devices.

Note

  • Uploaded screenshots and videos are saved on the server for 30 days. After this point, they will be deleted automatically.

  • Up to 100 files can be stored per Nintendo Account.

Before you start

You'll need to install the Nintendo Switch App on your smart device and sign in with your Nintendo Account to use this feature.

Complete these steps

  • Open the album from your console's HOME Menu.

  • Select a screenshot/video or select the Bulk Actions icon on the left menu.

    • Using the Bulk Actions menu, up to 100 files can be uploaded in a single batch.

  • If you selected an individual screenshot/video, press the A Button to open the menu.

  • Select Upload to Smart Device.

  • Select a user.

    • If you upload screenshots or videos taken by another user, only that user will be able to manage the upload status in the Nintendo Switch App.

  • If you are using the Bulk Actions menu, select the files you want to upload.

  • Select Upload to begin uploading. If you are uploading multiple files, you can continue playing while the upload processes in the background.

  • Once the files are uploaded, you can save or share the files on your smart device from the Nintendo Switch App.

Additional information

  • You can set up your screenshots and videos to automatically upload to the Nintendo Switch App as soon as you capture them. Select the Upload Settings icon on the left side of the album, then scroll to Automatic Uploads to enable or disable this feature.

  • If you aren't currently connected to the internet, you can queue uploads to begin as soon as you are connected again.
