How to Turn Flight Mode On or Off on Nintendo Switch 2
In this article, you'll learn how to activate and deactivate Flight Mode on a Nintendo Switch console.
Complete these steps
From the System Settings menu
From the HOME Menu, select System Settings.
From the options on the left, select Flight Mode.
Select Flight Mode on the right-hand side.
Toggle Flight Mode on or off as desired.
Message: Can't use flight mode while the console is connected to a TV.
Flight mode can be enabled in handheld mode or tabletop mode only. It cannot be used in TV mode.
From the Quick Settings screen
Press and hold the HOME Button for at least one second to access Quick Settings.
From the Quick Settings screen, toggle Flight Mode on or off as desired.
Message: Can't use flight mode while the console is connected to a TV.
Flight mode can be enabled in handheld mode or tabletop mode only. It cannot be used in TV mode.
Additional information
When Flight Mode is activated, all wireless communication, such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, will be turned off. You can still use the console in handheld mode, or use the touch screen. Some types of wireless communication can still be switched on manually when the console is in Airplane Mode.
If you wish to detach your Joy-Con 2 and play in Tabletop Mode while Flight Mode is enabled, perform the following while the Joy-Con 2 are still attached:
From the HOME Menu, select System Settings.
From the options on the left, select Flight Mode.
Select Flight Mode on the right-hand side.
Toggle the Bluetooth option on. Your Joy-Con 2 will now continue to function when you detach them from the console while it is in Flight Mode.
