How to Report Cheating, Profanity, or Inappropriate Behaviour (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate)

In this article, you'll learn how to report players for inappropriate behaviour (cheating, profanity, inappropriate course names or user-generated content etc). 


Complete these steps 


To report an opponent: 

  1. Launch Super Smash Bros. UItimate and select Vault from the main menu. 

  2. Select Records

  3. Select Past Opponents

  4. Choose the player you want to report, then select Report. Click OK

  5. Click Select the reason for this report and choose the most appropriate description from the list (Inappropriate Nickname,Cheating,Inactivity, etc). 

  6. Provide any details about the issue you encountered with the other player. 

  7. When you have finished, select Report, then Yes to submit your report for review. 

  8. Select Close to return to the previous menu or View Profile if you want to block them in your Nintendo Account settings. 

To report inappropriate content: 

  1. Launch Super Smash Bros. UItimate and select Online from the main menu. 

  2. Select Shared Content

  3. Choose the content you want to report, then select the creators name and Report. Click OK

    • You can report Videos, Replays, Mii Fighters, or Stages. 

  4. Click Select the reason for this report and choose the most appropriate description from the list (Personal Information,Violent Content,Sexually Explicit,Other, etc). 

  5. Provide any details about the issue you encountered with the content. 

  6. When you have finished, select Report, then Yes to submit your report for review. 

  7. Select Close to return to the previous menu or View Profile if you want to block them in your Nintendo Account settings. 


You can also report content through the Nintendo Switch Online application
