How to Play Nintendo Switch 2 in TV Mode

How to utilise Nintendo Switch 2 software while hooked up to a TV.

Note

  • Nintendo Switch 2 allows for different play styles. You can play Nintendo Switch 2 in handheld mode, tabletop mode, or TV mode.

  • TV mode allows you to play Nintendo Switch 2 while the game or application is displayed on your television screen.

Complete these steps

  1. Connect the Nintendo Switch 2 dock to a TV or monitor.

  2. Detach the Joy-Con 2 controllers from the Nintendo Switch 2 console.

    • Important

      • In order to use the Joy-Con 2 as wireless controllers they will need to be paired to the console.

      • Always use the Joy-Con 2 straps with the Joy-Con 2 controllers while they are detached from the console.

  3. Set the Nintendo Switch 2 console in its charging dock.

  4. Start your game or application.
