How To Move Software Data Between The System Memory And a microSD Express Card on Nintendo Switch 2

How to send software data, such as downloaded software, add-on content, and update data, to and from the console memory and a microSD Express card on Nintendo Switch 2.

Complete these steps

  1. Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.

  2. Scroll down and select Data Management.

  3. Select Move System / microSD Express Card Data.

  4. Choose the data you would like to move, then select OK.

Additional information

  • Save data and some update data cannot be migrated.

  • This is not a feature to specify where data is installed to.

  • If you continue playing the software after moving the data, update data may be saved to the location you did not select.
