How to Follow a News Channel on Nintendo Switch 2

Follow these steps to follow a News Channel on Nintendo Switch 2.

Note: If you are opted-in to targeted advertisements with your Nintendo Account, you will automatically follow News channels for games you play with your account.

Complete these steps

  1. From the HOME Menu select the News icon.

  2. Select the user you would like to subscribe to a channel with.

  3. If you know which channel you would like to subscribe to already, you can search for it. If you'd like to browse other channels for upcoming or newly released games, you can use the Discover Tab.

  • Search for a specific channel or browse the channel list

    1. Select the Channel List icon on the left.

    2. You can select the search bar to locate articles by keyword, or browse the Channel List to find channels that interest you.

    3. Once you find the channel you want, select Follow and it will appear in your Articles feed.

  • Browse the Discover Tab

    1. Select Discover at the top or press the R Button to change the active tab.

    2. You can select an article to view information about that game.

    3. If you'd like to follow that channel, you can select View Channel Information, then select Follow.

      • After following a channel, news from that channel will appear in the Articles tab rather than the Discover Tab.

Additional information

If you no longer want to follow a particular News channel, you can:

  • Select an article from it in your feed and select View Channel Information, then select Following to stop following it.

  • Select the Channel List icon, select Followed Channels, scroll to find it and then select Following to stop following it.
