How to Connect the Kart to Nintendo Switch

In this article, you'll learn how to pair and connect the Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit set to a Nintendo Switch system.

Important:

  • Once the kart is paired, it is not necessary to perform the pairing sequence again when starting to play.

Complete these steps

Is this the first time the kart will paired to your Nintendo Switch system?

Yes

For the first time pairing sequence, do the following:

  1. Start the game software on Nintendo Switch, then briefly press the Ignition Button on the kart.

    • A QR code will be displayed on the console screen. 

  2. Once the red brake light and blue power light begin flashing on the kart, aim the kart camera to the console screen (or to the TV screen if you’re playing in TV mode) to capture the QR code. 

Important: If a message prompting you to charge the kart appears, be sure to first charge the kart and then perform the pairing sequence.

No

If the kart has already been paired to your Nintendo Switch system, simply start the game software on Nintendo Switch, then briefly press the Ignition Button on the kart.

  • The red brake light and blue power light will flash momentarily on the kart.

The kart was paired to a different Nintendo Switch system

If you are now pairing the Kart to a different console, do the following:

  1. Start the game software on Nintendo Switch, then briefly press the Ignition Button on the kart. 

  2. Once the red brake light turns off and while the blue power light is still blinking, press the Ignition Button once again. 

  3. Aim the kart camera to the console screen (or to the TV screen if you’re playing in TV mode) to capture the QR code.
