How to Check the Error History on Nintendo Switch 2

Follow these steps to view the Error History information on Nintendo Switch 2.

Information

When an error code is received on the Nintendo Switch 2 console, it will be saved within the error history log for future reference, along with the game or application that was in use at the time of the error when applicable. The most recent 50 errors will be displayed chronologically with the errors that occurred most recently at the top.

Complete these steps

1. Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.

2. Select Support/Health & Safety.

3. Select Error History.

4. A list of recent errors will be displayed. Scroll through the list, and select the error you wish to view.

5. Once selected, you can choose from the following options:

   • See Error Details: Displays the error message associated with the error code and a QR code that can be used to search for the error on our support site.

   • Network: Displays information on the network settings at the time of the error.

   • Software: Displays information on the software used at the time of the error.

   • System: Displays information on certain system settings at the time of the error.

   • The system serial number and system software version are also displayed at the bottom of the page.
