How to Check the Battery Life on Nintendo Switch 2

Follow these steps to check the battery percentage on a Nintendo Switch 2 console as well as on any controllers that are paired to the console.

How to view the approximate battery life on the system

Press the ZL Button and ZR Button simultaneously to briefly display the battery charge percentage.

In Handheld mode or Tabletop mode, you can also tap the battery icon in the top right corner to display the battery charge percentage.

How to display the battery charge percentage constantly

1. Select System Settings from the HOME Menu.

2. Scroll down the options on the left and select System.

3. Scroll down to highlight System Battery (%).

4. Toggle this on to display the approximate battery life percentage on the HOME Menu, or toggle it off to hide the percentage again.

How to view the battery life for each paired controller

1. Select Controllers from the HOME Menu.

2. The approximate battery life will be displayed for each controller that is actively paired to this Nintendo Switch 2 system.
