How to Change the Sleep Mode Settings on a Nintendo Switch 2 Console
Follow these steps to configure the Sleep Mode settings on a Nintendo Switch 2 console.
Complete these steps
Select System Settings on the HOME Menu.
Scroll down the options on the left and select Sleep Mode.
The following options can be configured:
Auto-Sleep (Playing on Console Screen)
While in Handheld mode or Tabletop mode, the console will enter sleep mode after a set period of inactivity. This time can be set to 1, 3, 5, 10, or 30 minutes. To disable Auto-Sleep while using the console screen, select Never.
Auto-Sleep (Connected to TV)
While in TV Mode, the console will enter sleep mode after a set period of inactivity. This time can be set to 15 minutes, 1, 2, 3, 6, or 12 hours. To disable Auto-Sleep while using the console in TV mode, select Never.
Auto-Sleep (Playing Media Content)
When this option is enabled, auto-sleep can interrupt media after the console has been idle for four hours.
Play Console Wake-Up Sound in TV Mode
Select the volume that the wake-up sound plays when using the console in TV Mode. Can be set to Loud, Default, Quiet, or None.
Maintain Wired Connection in Sleep Mode
Enabling this option allows the console to begin downloads right away when you start them from a PC or smart device, even when the console is in sleep mode. Can be turned off to reduce energy consumption while the console is in sleep mode and connected to the internet. The console must also have a wired connection set up for this option to have an effect.
Wake When AC Adapter Is Disconnected
When this option is enabled, the console will wake from sleep mode when it is removed from the dock, or when the AC adapter is connected/disconnected.
