Error Code: 2813-2470

Steps to help when you try to make a purchase on Nintendo eShop using a credit card, but you receive the error code 2813-2470 and the message: "There was an issue processing your transaction. Contact your card issuer for more information."

Before you start:

You will need:

  • Your Nintendo Switch console.

  • Access to your Nintendo Account.

  • Your credit card and your correct billing information.

  1. Delete any saved credit card information on your Nintendo Account.

    1. Select Nintendo eShop on the HOME Menu to launch the Nintendo eShop.

    2. Select the Nintendo Account with the credit card information you want to delete.

    3. Select the picture of your icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.

    4. Click Delete under Credit Card Information where the name, last four digits, and expiration for the saved credit card will appear.

      • The Credit Card area will say “Not saved” if a credit card has not been stored on your account.

    5. Click Delete again to confirm.

      • This will also remove your credit card information from your account on the Nintendo Account website.

    6. For more information, see How to Delete Credit Card Information from a Nintendo Account

  2. Make sure that your Nintendo Account country setting matches the country your credit card is issued in. Payment may be restricted to credit cards issued in the same country as your Nintendo Account. You can correct the country setting on your Nintendo Account, if needed.

    • For example, a credit card issued in America will not work if your Nintendo Account is set to Australia.

  3. Try to buy the item again and make sure you enter all your card information correctly, including name, billing address, and security code.

Situation Not Resolved:

If you continue to receive the error code, there may be an issue related to the credit card. Please check with the bank or company that issued your credit card for more information and to make sure your billing information is accurate.

In the meantime, you can use a different credit card, Nintendo eShop Prepaid Cards, or a PayPal account to add funds to your Nintendo Account.
