Error Code: 2805-2200 to 2805-2215

Follow these steps when you receive an error code while setting up Parental Controls for GameChat on Nintendo Switch 2 using the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app.

These error codes indicate that the Nintendo Account you have used to sign in to the app and the Nintendo Account you are trying to supervise with the app are in different family groups. It's also possible that they do not have the correct roles.

What to do

• Make sure both Nintendo Accounts are in the same family group. Depending on how each account is set up currently, you may need to do one of the following:

  • If you are the admin of your family group, you can invite the child's Nintendo Account to join your family group or transfer it from another family group.

  • If the child's account is already in a family group and your account has not been added to it, the admin of that family group can invite you.

• Assign the Parent/Guardian role to the Nintendo Account you are using to sign into the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app.

• Assign the Supervised role to the Nintendo Account you are trying to supervise using the app.

• In the app, try the action that resulted in the error code again.
