Error Code: 2005-0005

Description:

The error code 2005-0005 is displayed on Nintendo Switch and you are unable to move past this screen.

What to Do:

Determine when this error is occurring:

• Upon starting up the console / can't get past this screen

  1. Power off the Nintendo Switch console. 

  2. Restore the Nintendo Switch console to factory settings without deleting save data.

  3. Ensure the console has the latest system update. 

• When trying to start a game

  1. Delete all data related to the software update and DLC for the non-working software.

  2. Redownload the software update and any applicable DLC, then start the game again. 

     • If the error persists and a microSD card is being used, try the following:

       • Try a different microSD card. 

       • If another microSD card is unavailable, format the original microSD card. 

       • Remove the microSD card, then redownload the software update directly to the system memory.
