What to do

  1. Restart the console by holding down the POWER Button for three seconds, then select Power Options then Restart.

  2. Once restarted, ensure your console has the latest system update.

  3. Remove and reinsert the game card from the console.

  4. Check for any available software updates for the problematic game.

  5. Try using other game cards on the system.

Situation not resolved

  • If the error continues to occur with a single game card, determine who the publisher of the software is:

    • Published by Nintendo

      • The problematic game card may need to be inspected.

    • Published by a third party licensee

      • Contact the third party licensee for assistance.

  • If the issue is occurring with multiple game cards, the Nintendo Switch console may need to be inspected.

    • For testing purposes include all of the problematic game cards.
