Nintendo Switch 2 Experience FAQ
Waitlists
Anyone who doesn’t already have an event ticket may join a waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis. You can join as an individual, or as a Nintendo Account family group of up to four people total per waitlist group.
If your name is selected from a waitlist, you will be notified via email sent to the email address associated with your Nintendo Account.
You’ll have 36 hours from the time the email arrives to claim the offer before the opportunity expires. Please be sure to add no-reply@noa.nintendo.com to your safe sender list, and check your email (including Junk, Spam, or Promotions folders) regularly.
No. If your name wasn’t drawn to receive a ticket, you will need to manually enter the waitlist.
There are several possible reasons:
You already have a ticket.
You are under 18 years old. Only those 18 and older can enter the waitlist as an individual or family group. Those under 18 need to join the waitlist as part of a Nintendo Account family group.
The waitlist period has closed.
No additional event tickets are available.
Tickets may become available if others cancel the ticket(s) they received from the original drawing.
If you are on the waitlist, we will notify you via email if an offer is available.
We will only contact you via email if you are offered a ticket from a waitlist, and you will have 36 hours from when the email arrives to claim the offer before the opportunity expires. Please be sure to add no-reply@noa.nintendo.com to your safe sender list, and check your email account’s Junk, Spam, or Promotions folder regularly.
We encourage you to enter your name(s) on the waitlists as soon as possible.
If you no longer can make the event, please cancel your waitlist entry so we can offer it to the next person in the waitlist.
To do that, please visit your “My Tickets / Passes” page, open the “Waitlist” tab, and then select “Leave Waitlist” from the menu.
You can always come back and rejoin a waitlist if you wish. Please note that you will rejoin at the back of the waitlist, not at your previous position.
Yes—the first ticket you reserve will take you off the remaining waitlists, though, as you may only attend one session.
No—whichever waitlist becomes available first will be the first to be offered. You will not receive any other offers until you have accepted or rejected the first ticket offer, or until that offer has expired.
No—if you have a ticket for one of the events, you cannot add your name to a waitlist. If you like, you can cancel your ticket and join the waitlist for your preferred day/time, but there is no guarantee that you will receive a ticket offer from that waitlist.
On the registration portal, go to “My Tickets” and open the “Waitlist” tab. Select “Edit Waitlist” from the menu. This will not affect your position on the Waitlist.
If you pass on a ticket offer, the offer will go to someone else on the waitlist. You can rejoin a waitlist to see if another opportunity comes up. Please note that you will rejoin at the bottom of the waitlist, not at your previous position.
Once the offer expires after 36 hours, the ticket will be offered to the next person on the waitlist. You can add yourself to a waitlist again for another possible chance to attend. Please note that you will rejoin at the bottom of the waitlist, not at your previous position.
If you joined a waitlist as an individual and would like members of your Nintendo Account family group to join, you will need to leave the waitlist and rejoin with your family group. Please note that you will rejoin at the bottom of the waitlist.
Anyone under the age of 18 will need to join a waitlist as part of a family group.
Your offer will be for the same number of tickets as you originally requested. That means, if you are part of a group of four people, you will only be notified if another group of four people cancels their tickets or drops out of the waitlist. You will not be offered tickets in smaller batches (e.g. three tickets and then one additional ticket later).
Event tickets and entry

All attendees in the same group must attend the same session together.
All registrants must be Australian or New Zealand residents.

This must be done in advance of the event in order to attend.

No—everyone who registers will have an equal chance of being selected.
Your friend will need to register with their Nintendo Account information. If they do not have a free Nintendo Account, they can sign up for one by visiting https://accounts.nintendo.com/register.
No—event tickets are non-transferrable and one-time use only.
You’ll have 10 minutes to complete your registration, otherwise you risk losing that drawing entry. To save time, be sure to create your free Nintendo Account and set up your family group in advance.
If you have received a ticket your eligible support person/companion will not require a separate ticket to attend.

Event day
Your ticket provides you a guaranteed opportunity to have an early hands-on gameplay experience with some of the newest, upcoming games on Nintendo Switch 2.
The entry window listed on your event ticket is the arrival entry time you can come to the venue to enter the gameplay experience.
While you can arrive at any time during your listed entry window, we strongly recommend arriving on the earlier side of the listed time.
In order to maximise the number of guests to experience this wonderful opportunity, we will be enforcing entry to the entry window time listed on your event ticket.
Arriving early - Due to the limited space at the venue, if you arrive earlier than what is listed on your ticketed time (more than 15 minutes), we will not be able to check you in and may have to ask that you leave the venue until your ticketed entry time.
Arriving late - If you arrive later than your ticketed entry time, we cannot guarantee entry into the experience. Please be punctual to avoid this. Please note, if you arrive during your entry time listed on your ticket, and you are still in line to enter the gameplay experience, you are still guaranteed entry into the experience.
After check-in, you may need to wait in a queue prior to starting your gameplay experience. The expected gameplay experience is 3 hours and 30 minutes. After four hours, attendees will no longer be able to participate in the experience and will be asked to leave to make room for additional attendees.
To maximise the number of guests who get to enjoy this wonderful event, the gameplay experience will include some curated games as well as time for guests to choose a limited number of additional games to play from a variety of game demos available.
For full accessibility information please see Rod Laver’s accessibility site and CENTREPIECE’s accessibility site.
Attendees consent to reasonable search of all items carried onto the premises. Attendees must not bring the following items into the venue: weapons, prop weapons, markers, skateboards, lighters, controlled substances, large containers, gum, stickers, recording devices (excluding cell phones and any recording devices possessed by authorised media), food or beverages, other than sealed 500ml water bottles, empty plastic sports bottles, or medically necessary items.
