Expressions of Interest in purchasing Nintendo Switch 2 on My Nintendo Store opening soon!

Australia and New Zealand Nintendo Account holders who meet the relevant eligibility requirements will have an opportunity to register their interest for a chance to be selected to purchase Nintendo Switch 2 on My Nintendo Store!

With new ways to play and new ways to connect players, Nintendo Switch 2 arrives on 5th June, 2025.

The following Nintendo Switch 2 purchase options will be available on My Nintendo Store:

Registrations will open at 12:00 on Wednesday 9th April 2025 AEST.

There will be three chances to be selected for the opportunity to pre-purchase Nintendo Switch 2 on My Nintendo Store.

• 1st Round of Pre-purchase

  • 18:00 24th April 2025 – 11:59 30th April 2025 AEST

  • Register your interest by 11:59 17th April 2025 AEST to go into the draw

• 2nd Round of Pre-purchase

  • 12:00 5th May 2025 – 11:59 9th May 2025 AEST

  • Register your interest by 11:59 1st May 2025 AEST to go into the draw

• 3rd Round of Pre-purchase

  • 12:00 15th May 2025 – 11:59 19th May 2025 AEST

  • Register your interest by 11:59 12th May 2025 AEST to go into the draw

Nintendo Switch 2 games and accessories will also be coming to My Nintendo Store including a My Nintendo Store exclusive wireless controller designed after the original Nintendo GameCube controller. This controller will be available to purchase by paid Nintendo Switch Online members to use exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2. Be sure to add any games and accessories to your cart when pre-purchase commences at 18:00 on Thursday 24th April 2025 AEST. Pre-purchase any Nintendo Switch 2 and corresponding games and accessories before 23:59 Tuesday 20th May 2025 AEST for release day delivery!*

Eligibility Requirements

To register your interest in Nintendo Switch 2 you must meet each of the following criteria:

• For a total of at least 1 year, have been subscribed to a Nintendo Switch Online membership as the purchaser**.

• Have more than 50 hours of gameplay on Nintendo Switch by 23:59 UTC, 28th February 2025***

• At time of registration and purchase, be a purchaser of an active Nintendo Switch Online membership; and

• Hold an Australia or New Zealand Nintendo Account with a valid delivery address matching the country of your Nintendo Account.

Registration Information

• You may register your interest in both Nintendo Switch 2 purchase options but can only be allocated one purchase option. Once selected, you will no longer have a chance to be selected for the other purchase option. Purchase limit of one console per Customer.

• Once selected, you will have a limited time to complete your pre-purchase. You are not obligated to complete your purchase, but if you do not complete your purchase within the specified purchase period, you will forfeit your allocation.

• If you are not selected in a prior round, you will have a chance of being selected in the remaining rounds.
