Happy Pokémon Day!
Ah, how time flies when you’re catching Pokémon. 29 years ago, the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green games debuted in Japan. Since then, it’s been a Tera Blast of different adventures and experiences. Here’s a quick rundown of the big Pokémon news of the day, including a look at the brand-new Pokémon Legends: Z-A game and a new game announcement.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Let’s start with the video right at the top of this article—your first extended look at Pokémon Legends: Z-A! Lumiose City is undergoing a massive urban redevelopment plan to make it a place that people and Pokémon truly share (if ‘Lumiose City’ rings a bell, you may remember going there in the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games). Please watch the video for a glimpse of some city sights, the game’s new style of battling , and the powerful phenomenon known as Mega Evolution.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A comes out in late 2025. Might be a nice time to start thinking about which partner Pokémon you’ll choose...
Pokémon UNITE
Announced today, Suicune, Alolan Raichu, and Alcremie will soon join the fray in Pokémon UNITE! Remoat Stadium has also returned to ranked matches, and you can try out a new type of battle.

Pokémon Café ReMix
Here’s another fruitful event for ya! Check out the new apple-based menu item in Pokémon Café ReMix—completing the event will allow Flapple or Appletun to join your café staff. How a-peel-ing!
Adding to the fun, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly will also be available in special outfit packs, and you can log in now to have a special Pikachu join your staff sporting its sugary ‘sweets outfit’. If you log in for three days, Eevee in its sweets outfit will also join your staff! Please check out the game for the exact timing of each event.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet
A trio of Tera Raid Battle events is headed to the Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet games! Be on the lookout for these challenging battles:
A Mighty Meowscarada
Event timing: 28 February at 11:00 a.m. AEDT to 7 March at 10:59 a.m. AEDT
A Mighty Skeledirge
Event timing: 7 March at 11:00 a.m. AEDT to 14 March at 10:59 a.m. AEDT
A Mighty Quaquaval
Event timing: 14 March at 11:00 a.m. AEDT to 21 March at 10:59 a.m. AEDT
Check your game for event timing and other info. Mass outbreaks of red-, green-, and blue-coloured Pokémon are also taking place from 28 February at 11:00 a.m. AEDT to 21 March at 10:59 a.m. AEDT, so be sure to take part while you’re playing!
Finally, if you want to spruce up your in-game Rotom Phone, enter one of the following passwords in the Mystery Gift menu* in your game. Make sure you use the correct password for the game you have.

Pokémon Champions
