Nintendo Switch 2 – Expressions of Interest

Promoter

  1. The Promoter is Nintendo Australia Pty Ltd ABN 43 060 566 083, of 804 Stud Rd, Scoresby VIC 3179.
  2. By registering your interest in pre-purchasing Nintendo Switch 2, “you” (the Nintendo Account holder) acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
  3. My Nintendo Store is offering eligible Nintendo Account holders the opportunity to register their interest for a chance to be selected to pre-purchase Nintendo Switch 2 or a Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle.
  4. A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required both at the time of registration and at the time of pre-purchase. Nintendo Switch Online Free Trial memberships are not eligible. Additional eligibility requirements apply.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. To register your interest, you must meet all the following criteria:
    1. Be a resident of Australia or New Zealand;
    2. Hold an Australia or New Zealand Nintendo Account in good standing with a valid delivery address matching the country of your Nintendo Account;
    3. Have held a paid Nintendo Switch Online Individual or Family membership (as the purchaser) for a total of at least 1 year*;
    4. Have more than 50 hours of gameplay on Nintendo Switch (excluding trial/free software) by 23:59 UTC, 28 February 2025**;
    5. Be a purchaser of an active Nintendo Switch Online membership at the time of registration and pre-purchase.

How to Register Your Interest

  1. Registrations open at 12:00 AEST on Wednesday, 9 April 2025.
  2. Registrations are limited to one (1) per Nintendo Account holder.
  3. Eligible registrants may express interest in both available purchase options (Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle), but may only be selected for one.
  4. Once selected, you will no longer be eligible to be selected for the other option.
  5. Purchase limit: one (1) console per Customer.

Registration & Pre-Purchase Schedule

  • 1st Round of Pre-Purchase
    Register by: 11:59 AEST, 17 April 2025
    Pre-Purchase Period: 18:00 AEST, 24 April – 11:59 AEST, 30 April 2025
  • 2nd Round of Pre-Purchase
    Register by: 11:59 AEST, 1 May 2025
    Pre-Purchase Period: 12:00 AEST, 5 May – 11:59 AEST, 9 May 2025
  • 3rd Round of Pre-Purchase
    Register by: 11:59 AEST, 12 May 2025
    Pre-Purchase Period: 12:00 AEST, 15 May – 11:59 AEST, 19 May 2025
  1. Selected registrants will be notified via email by the start of the relevant Pre-Purchase Period.
  2. The email will include instructions on how to complete your pre-purchase. Pre-Purchase can be accessed via the “My Registrations” page.
  3. You are not obligated to complete your purchase. However, if you do not complete your purchase within the allocated time, your opportunity to pre-purchase will be forfeited.
  4. If you are not selected in a given round, your registration will be considered for future rounds if applicable.

Additional Information

  1. Nintendo Switch 2 games and accessories will be available on My Nintendo Store.
  2. These items can be added to your cart at the time of pre-purchase beginning at 18:00 AEST, Thursday, 24 April 2025.
  3. Pre-purchases completed before 23:59 AEST, Tuesday, 20 May 2025 are expected to be delivered on release day (5 June 2025); however, delays may occur.

Verification and Other Conditions

  1. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of registrations, including a Nintendo Account holder’s identity, place of residence, membership status, gameplay hours, and other eligibility requirements.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel a registration, forfeit an opportunity to pre-purchase, or otherwise not offer an opportunity to pre-purchase, in the event of reasonable suspicion of inappropriate behaviour, misuse, interference or fraudulent activity by, or on behalf of, the registrant.
  3. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspect of the registration and selection process is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions

  1. These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most recent version will always be available on the My Nintendo Store website.
  2. You may disagree with updated Terms and Conditions at any time by discontinuing your use of the My Nintendo Store Product Registration.

*Must be the purchaser of a paid Nintendo Switch Online Individual or Family Membership. Data updates daily and may take approximately a day to refresh.

**Excludes trial software and free software such as libraries of classic games available to Nintendo Switch Online Members. For gameplay to count towards eligibility, sharing of Usage Information “to help improve Nintendo products and services” must have been set to “Allowed” in Nintendo Account settings.
