Officially launching this Spring within the Nintendo eShop, the Virtual Console service on Wii U will offer a number of new benefits.
In addition to NES and Super NES games, titles from the Game Boy Advance and other systems will be available in the future.
Wii U Virtual Console games can be played on your TV, or you can play with just the Wii U GamePad controller when someone else is watching TV.
Games can be paused and returned to later using Restore Points—complete save files that include your up-to-the-moment progress and your in-game save data.
Each title will have an Official Community in Miiverse. There you can talk about the game and share memories with others, or show off screenshots of your high score.
After the launch of the Wii U Virtual Console service, Wii owners who own Virtual Console games and transfer their data to Wii U will be eligible for a special reduced price for each game, applied when they purchase the upgraded Wii U version of those games on the Nintendo eShop. The reduced price will be $1.00 per NES title and $1.50 per Super NES title.
* The regular price of Wii U Virtual Console NES and Super NES games are same as the Wii Virtual Console price.
* The reduced price of Wii U Virtual Console games will automatically be displayed on the Nintendo eShop, unique to each user based on their Wii Virtual Console library.
* Games purchased at the special reduced price are worth 9 points per NES title and 14 points per SNES title in the Deluxe Digital Program. Point value subject to change.
