Nintendo Invites East Coast Fans to Play the Best Games of Pax, Present and Future
Nintendo is once again headed to the land of baked beans and chowdah to show visitors of PAX East in Boston a wicked good time. Nintendo will be offering hands-on time with a large selection of new and upcoming Wii U™ and Nintendo 3DS™ games, as well as providing a wide variety of special activities surrounding three of its upcoming releases: Pokémon™ Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity and LEGO® City Undercover: The Chase Begins for Nintendo 3DS, and the just-released LEGO® City Undercover for Wii U. Visitors to the Nintendo booth will also be able to purchase select Nintendo products on-site, including special pre-sale opportunities for Luigi's Mansion™: Dark Moon and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity.
"We look forward to PAX East each year because it is a great opportunity for us to connect with all of our amazing fans," said Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "With a wide selection of games for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS to play, as well as special activities for individual titles, the Nintendo booth will be a must-see at PAX East."
Visitors to the Nintendo booth will be able to purchase Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity and Fire Emblem Awakening for Nintendo 3DS, as well as various Nintendo 3DS XL hardware, including Red, Blue, Pink and the limited-edition Pikachu Nintendo 3DS XL system. Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will go on sale in the booth on March 23, one day before these games become available in stores across the country.
Fans can also visit a separate Pokémon Gaming Lounge located in the East Registration lobby area to celebrate the launch of the Nintendo 3DS game Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity. In addition to being able to play the game, visitors can enjoy giveaways (while supplies last), trivia, photo opportunities and a Pokémon fan gathering on March 24. The gathering is the perfect place for fans to play the game together and exchange in-game data via StreetPass™.
To celebrate the recent release of LEGO® City Undercover for Wii U, and to get fans ready for the April 21 launch of LEGO® City Undercover: The Chase Begins for Nintendo 3DS, a mug shot photo booth experience will be set up in the Nintendo booth. Attendees can take fun mug shots in prisoner attire to look just like the criminals that populate Albatross Island Prison in LEGO® City. Consumers can also pre-order LEGO® City Undercover: The Chase Begins on-site and receive an exclusive pre-order premium item (while supplies last).
