Applies to Netgear router: MR814 (all versions)
By default, the network name (SSID) will appear as: Netgear
How to access this router's settings:
- Access login by clicking: http://192.168.0.1
- Enter default* username: admin
- Enter default* password: password
* If you have changed the router's default login settings you will need to enter the newer username and/or password. If you are unable to log in to the router, please call 1-800-255-3700.
Where to find and change your router's:
- WEP/WPA key access: In 'Wireless Settings' under 'Setup' example
- Network name (SSID): In 'Wireless Settings' under 'Setup' example
- Channel settings: In 'Wireless Settings' under 'Setup' example
- SPI Firewall settings: In 'WAN Setup' under 'Advanced' example
Important Notes:
Wii
Our experience has shown that, in most cases, you will need to disable the 'SPI Firewall' in order to connect successfully with this router. This setting is typically found on the 'WAN Setup' tab.
In some cases you may need to update your router's firmware. For information on performing this update, please contact your router's manufacturer.
You will also need to manually enter your DNS server information into the Wii Console.

Change the channel setting to 1 or 11. These settings can be found on the 'Setup' tab, under 'Wireless Settings.'
