By default, the network name (SSID) will appear as: Linksys
How to access this router's settings:
- Access login by clicking: http://192.168.1.1
- Enter default* username: (leave blank)
- Enter default* password: admin
* If you have changed the router's default login settings you will need to enter the newer username and/or password. If you are unable to log in to the router, please call 1-800-255-3700.
Where to find and change your router's:
- WEP/WPA key access: In 'Wireless Security' on 'Wireless' tab example
- Network name (SSID): In 'Basic Wireless Settings' on 'Wireless' tab example
- Transmission setting: On 'Wireless' tab, 'Advanced Wireless Settings' example
- Firewall settings: In 'Firewall' on 'Security' tab example
Important Notes:
Wii and DS
Change the channel setting to 1 or 11. These settings can be found on the 'Wireless' tab, under 'Basic Wireless Settings.'
In some cases you may need to update your router's firmware. For information on performing this update, please contact your router's manufacturer.
DS
Change the 'rate' to 1-2 mbps, and the TX rate to 2mbps. These settings can be found on the 'Wireless' Tab, under the 'Advanced Wireless Settings' sub-tab.
Wii
Disable your router's firewall. These settings can be found on the 'Security' Tab, under the 'Firewall' settings.
