Find your Friend Code in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
In order to get a Friend Code, you must first connect to the Nintendo WFC service at least once with your Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon game.

Once you have connected at least once, you can access your Friend Code as follows:

  1. From the Main Menu, select "Extras" and Press the A Button.
  2. Select "Nintendo WFC" and press A.
  3. Select "Register Friends" and press A.
  4. The Friend Code will be displayed on the top screen.

Add a Friend Code to the Friends Roster in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon?
In order to get a Friend Code, your friend must first connect to the Nintendo WFC service at least once with their Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon game.

Once your friend has given you their Friend Code, enter it by:

  1. From the Main Menu, select "Extras" and press the A Button.
  2. Select "Nintendo WFC" and press A.
  3. Select "Register Friends" and press A.
  4. Select the slot number for the Friend Code and press A.
  5. Select "Add" and press A.
  6. Enter the Friend Code, then select "OK" and press A.
  7. If any changes were made, the game will ask if you want to save the changes when you leave the screen. Select "Yes" and press A to save.

Battle against a friend online
To play against friends, you must first exchange Friend Codes. Please see the information in the section above for help on how to do this.

  1. From the Main Menu, select "Extras" and press the A Button.
  2. Select "Nintendo WFC" and press A.
  3. Select "Wi-Fi Battle" and press A.
  4. Select "Play a Friend" and press A.
  5. The game will ask to connect to the Nintendo WFC. Select "Yes" and press A.
  6. After connecting, select the squad to deploy and press A.
  7. Select a room for the battle or select "Create Room" (if none of the four rooms are occupied) and press A.
  8. Once a player from your Friend List is found, the battle will begin.

Note: Once a player is found, the Voice Chat feature can be activated. Hold down the L Button. The speaker icon in the upper right of the top screen will indicate whether Voice Chat is enabled. A red "X" indicates that Voice Chat is not possible.

Battle against anyone (strangers) online
This feature allows game players to battle anyone.

  1. From the Main Menu, select "Extras" and press the A Button.
  2. Select "Nintendo WFC" and press A.
  3. Select "Wi-Fi Battle" and press A.
  4. Select "Play Anyone" and press A.
  5. The game will ask to connect to the Nintendo WFC. Select "Yes" and press A.
  6. After connecting, select the squad to deploy and press A.
  7. Once a player is found, the battle will begin.

How to loan units

This feature allows players to upload and download units from the server.

  1. From the Main Menu, select "Extras" and press the A Button.
  2. Select "Nintendo WFC" and press A.
  3. Select "Loan Units" and press A.
  4. The following options are available to you:

    Use Loans: Allows the player to choose the chapter save in which the units they want to loan are located.
    Connect: Connect with a friend (on your Friend List) via Nintendo WFC to borrow and loan units directly.
    Upload: Store a unit to loan out over the server.
    Download: Borrow a unit that has been stored on the server.

  5. Features of Loan Units:
    • You can borrow up to 10 loan units at a time.
    • You an only use one loan unit per save file.
    • You can only borrow units from others that you currently have in your army.
    • Only units present in your save files can be borrowed from other players.
    • Loan units do not keep any experience they gain on the field.

How to use the online shop

This feature allows players to buy/sell weapons and items online (to prepare for online battles).

  1. From the Main Menu, select "Extras" and press the A Button.
  2. Select "Nintendo WFC" and press A.
  3. Select "Shop Online" and press A.
  4. Players can buy/sell weapons and items in this online version of the Armory. Weapons and items may vary, depending on the day, and the currency exchanged is the same as the in-game currency.
